Rev. Michael D. McLaughlin, Pastor
The Rev. Michael D. McLaughlin was born and went to high school and college in Knoxville, Tennessee. A 2001 graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology from The University of Tennessee, he received a Masters of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia in 2008.
Michael is married to Lisa, a Registered Nurse working at Bolivar Medical Center. Lisa and Michael are blessed with daughters Madeline and Sophia and their son, True. Other McLaughlin family members include Opal the beagle, and Ophelia the large cat.
Before serving as the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Michael served as the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Manchester, Tennessee for four years. Michael’s interests include ministry, theology, art, music, politics, the sciences, and elephants.
Johnathan Williams, Choir Director
Mr. Johnathan D. Williams graduated from Delta State University in 2013. While at Delta State, Williams was involved in Chamber Singers, Chorale, Delta Singers, Opera, Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Basketball Pep Band, and Trumpet Choir. Williams’ composition “Found it in the Backyard” was selected to be performed in the 2008 Delta State University Composition Showcase. In 2010, Williams performed with the Delta State University Choir in Salzburg, Vienna, and Prague. Williams served as is the choir director, piano teacher, and general music teacher at D.M. Smith Middle School in Cleveland, Mississippi for two years. He is currently one of the piano teachers for the DSU Piano Preparatory Program as well as being the choir director, bell choir director, youth music teacher, and director of children's and youth ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, Mississippi. Williams also has a full time piano and voice studio that services students in Cleveland, Greenville, and Clarksdale, Mississippi.
Dan Griffin, Custodian
Dan Griffith was born in Choctaw, Mississippi on January 24th, 1954 and is a graduate of Shaw High School and currently a student at Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Dan is a member of St. James Baptist Church in Cleveland, Mississippi where he serves on the board of Deacons. Dan enjoys seeking to answer God’s call to obedience and helping people. Dan enjoys sharing stories and interior decorating. Dan has faithfully worked for First Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Day School for over 20 years.

Dr. Jung-Won Shin, Director of Music & Organist
Dr. Jung-Won Shin has appeared as an active teacher, adjudicator, clinician, and solo and collaborative pianist with a large range of repertoire in the U.S., Canada and Korea. Dr. Shin has been featured at a Beethoven Piano Sonata recital series at Yamaha Artists Services in New York, conferences of the Mississippi Music Teachers Association and College Music Society, the Orford Summer Music Academy and Festival in Canada, and the Geumjeong Cultural Center in Pusan, Korea. She holds degrees in piano performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Indiana University, and Seoul National University. Recently, her collaborative CD with soprano Amy Yeung has been released on Centaur Records. She is currently Music Director and Keyboardist at First Presbyterian Church and Associate Professor of Music at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.
